Donna Douglas, who recently completed her junior year at Nettleton High in Arkansas and is representing Ralvis Raptors, won the women's 17-18 division shot put title with an opening-round performance of 48-0.75 (14.65m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Douglas, the Gatorade Arkansas Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year, produced the six best marks in the competition.
